This is another picture in which I am looking for "borders of red". I ask myself - how to make red even redder? I use paints - and pigments contained in them. I cannot add any more pigment to the red paint. Anyway, paint is a chemical compound, it's just a means to an end. Color is created in the eyes of the artist and in the eyes of viewers. I combine red with blues and other cool colors. I try to find out how to approach red, what to do to warm it up. Nature suggest forms to me. Forms are my alphabet. I think that this is one of the most difficult things in painting - speak in forms. Preferably with your own forms, by which one can recognize the individuality of the artist. Picasso was a champion in this. One can say - painting is above all colors. But the color always appears in an area - and this area - is a form. This is clearly seen in many good paintings, even in such vague as Turner's paintings.

I am an artist from Poland. Living in Sweden. I am working with oil, acrylic, and mixed techniques on paper, drawing, and graphics. Oil on canvas dominates my work. Figurative compositions and landscape motives are two themes of the same importance to me. In both, I want to convey the feeling of space. Space is a symbol of everything which is beyond the reality of our senses. I would like that my paintings are full of meaning. I want my paintings to be ambiguous so that they do not convey something directly, that they intrigue the viewer and invite them to think and interpret individually my pictures. For some years I am the owner of my own graphics press, which is located in a graphic studio in my home in Sweden, where I live now. Summer is a period of hard work for me - works on paper are being created. I paint paintings in Warsaw. I have been living in this rhythm of artistic work for several years. Time goes by and my art is changing. The question of where it will lead me is always up to date. You are welcome to visit my website:
