Albert Kanyek Libre III is an artist who love experimenting with new techniques to combine the best of both Chinese and western art. He is into Xiěyì 寫意 or spontaneous-style Chinese Brush Painting and Lingnan style of Chinese Brush Painting, which are more realistic, dynamic, bolder and livelier than a traditional Chinese or brushstroke painting. Currently, he is taking continuous studies on brush painting with professor and master brush artist, Dr. Ning Yeh at Coastline College. His works were exhibited in the Philippines, China and the United States of America. He attended some workshops at Guang Zhou Academy of Fine Arts, China. For over a decade, Albert has studied under masters brush artist, Dr. Alex Chan Lim and Ceasar Cheng (comes from an unbroken chain of Chinese Masters; Gao Qi Feng, Zhao Shao An and Hau Chiok) from Confucius Institute at the Ateneo De Manila University. Earlier years, he was into charcoal pencil, western watercolor, oil painting, cray-pas and pastel trained under Philippine National Artist Rody Herrera, who designed the Philippine five peso bill.
