Painting: Acrylic on Canvas.
This impressionistic acrylic painting is based upon The Giant's Causeway, located in Northern Ireland.
The Giant's Causeway is an area of about 40,000 interlocking basalt columns, the result of an ancient volcanic fissure eruption. It is located in County Antrim on the north coast of Northern Ireland.
The sky depicts a beautiful sunset, the centre is a luminous yellow, moving out towards streaks of magenta and tangerine orange.
The sea is forgiving with a light swell on the sea, the waves roll into the rocks. The water is a turquoise blue, with the colours of the sunset delicately reflected in the waves and onto the rocks.
The basalt columns are depicted in bright colours of Prussian blue, deep red and a mixture of sky and slate blue.
This artwork is signed on the front, sold framed and ready to hang on your wall.
