This painting is one of the studies that I worked on in order to create the big scale one.
I enjoy playing with bright colors of the roosters in expressionist style in order to be able to interpret these colors on the massive canvases.

About The Artwork

Fight of Roosters. This painting is one out of many in the series: The Clash of Roosters, in which I depicted these beautiful birds in situation which is rarely could be seen while they are in fight or clash. The series represent a symbolic approach of the main theme in our live: Struggle, which can be interpreted by the struggle for survival, or for power or of anything you can imagine in our daily life. This fight of cocks is a very common bloody game in many countries, in which the crowd bet on two roosters fighting each other. In order to win this notorious game, one of the roosters must kill the other one with his claws and beak. The victory is baptized with the blood of the defeated rooster. In life, the concept is the same, because winning the power only happens by eliminating the opponent. Here, I am criticizing such concept of fighting in our life as human being. I believe that when you are grateful and lover then you will experience goodwill, as there’s more than enough good to go around.
