Ambidextrous from birth, Francois Plumart has the particularity of liking to draw with both hands at the same time and, when he paints with acrylics, exclusively uses black paint and white paint to create effects of warm, cold and colored effects, using a very personal technique. His paintings are made on supports prepared in the spirit of ancient techniques: marouflage wood and rabbit skin glue, from the time when painters and alchemists dreamed of finding "the beautiful color." Tout monument d'airain devient poussière Le Temps, Le Monde allié à la Mort Auront vaincus nos misérables corps Mais le tableau survit à l'éphémère. (Marco BOSCHINI, 1660) An alumnus of the ESAD d'Orléans (Ecole Supérieure d'Art et Design), François Plumart is a member of the Maison des Artistes, of the ADAGP. His works can be found in private collections in Germany, Austria, the United Kingdom, the USA and Canada. "In a continuity of a time of yesterday and today, François Plumart approaches the real to capture the fleeting. The very essence of the durability of his line lies in this delicate balance of the immutable and ephemeral. François works the background in a diffuse way, letting the portrait float unattached in a poetic stratosphere. Between content and form, the figure abstracts itself from the unreal." Caroline Canault – Journalist, art critic.
