This is my largest work done to date. Cocoon is inspired from a dream of mine, in which my orbs were being captured by an object. The orbs congregated together like cocoons.

Adam Norgaard (b. 1991) is an American artist working in Japan for the past 10 years. His works reflect the process of adapting to a culture different from his own. Working with oils as his main medium, he remains playful while also maintaining a finished quality. Adam attempts to bring the viewers into a foreign environment of their own by the atmosphere depicted in his paintings. In his own practice he is working at deviating from references and attempting to work completely from his imagination.
