Coffee Break is an elegant mixed media work in the main colours of black and white with some orange and touches of red and yellow. The work is heavily textured. On the left lower side you can see a cut out from a paper. Coffee and reading the paper - perfect relaxation! The sides are painted white but left visible traces of the development of this work. I added a hanger on the back on the canvas so it is ready to hang - you just need a nail. The work is signed and dated on the back. In inches it is 19.7 x 15.7

ARTIST STATEMENT: Life is a largely subjective experience; but that subjective experience is my bridge to the objective world. And it’s this synthesis of the two that I am trying to capture. INSPIRATION AND PROCESS: I love experimenting and want to give my works an individual expression. I have two lines of work: I love painting almost (but not quite) realistic, somewhat utopian, nature images and on the other hand I really enjoy doing non-objective/abstract art. I am inspired by the beauty and power of natural phenomena, the mystery of nature, its colors and forms. Every painting is a one-of-a-kind work in which I try to combine feeling and thought. I work most of the time with acrylics but I also mix acrylics with other media such as oil pastel, soft pastel, spray paint, graphite and charcoal or ink. All materials I use, if canvas, paper or paints are of artist quality.
