Polar bears are not actually white. Their hair is transluscent, allowing the sun to penetrate through the hair to warm their black skin. I just love how a low seting sun brings out the colors in the fur, often warm yellows, oranges, and cooler blues, puples and pinks. Their confident demeanor is very justified, polar bears are the absolute rulers of their kingdom.
