Competetive Mortgages depicts the Italian town of Cinq de Terre or more accurately it depicts a mortgage advertisement in a bank, which used the image. The piece was painted in the space of two weeks in three sittings, for an exhibition. The intention to simply record as much information as possible, The decision to chose a complex image to compete in a small time frame was a conscious one.
