ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I was inspired by the Karman Line that lies at the edge of the atmosphere. This thin line that appears as a thin, sliver of light and color to astronauts represents both the end and the beginning. It is both fragile and eternal. Like life that ends and starts anew, the light that just escapes our gaze at the verge of everything we know and unknowable.

Coming out of a hiatus that lasted for years, looking for the inspiration that once moved me to an empty canvas, I found myself gravitating to unconventional mediums and minimum expressions of color and texture as means of testing the possibility of a painted surface while conveying complex personal pains and history.
