ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is an illustration of a piece of work by Val Byrne who is one of my favorite artists. The end of the Summer is depicted in the sky whilst the last of the flowers are still in bloom. I love how the age of the cottages comes through on the paintwork and particularly the old stone wall in the foreground. For me this painting represents, time, community and love of nature. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed painting it. This painting is completed on canvas textured paper 16"w x 12"h and the final framed piece is 20"w x 16 h.

I am a self-taught acrylic painter who has studied photography in University as part of my degree in Communication Studies in Dublin City University. I have sold some work in London and Ireland but have recently started to explore acrylic painting - I love colour, light and texture. I love exploring old buildings and farmyards and my love of the Irish countryside is evident in all of the work so far.
