A beautiful piece showing layers of crashing waves with realistic effect. Lots of movement and depth have been created by layering and manipulating the resin to create this realistic ocean piece. The wood panel was first primed and sanded before mixing various pigments and acrylic inks into the resin which was then applied and layered creating these realistic looking waves. Details of the under layers can be appreciated as you look closely at the detail of this piece. The resin was restricted from flowing over the edge in order to provide a 'clean' white finish to the sides of this piece. A shimmer pigment was also used and can be seen subtly under lighting. A gorgeous talking piece with a high gloss finish.

Born in London, Skevi is a self-taught artist working primarily with resin, producing unique and colourful contemporary creations. Skevi finds inspiration from nature and her love for the ocean and has a general love for colour. By mixing her mediums into the resin and understanding how different mediums behave in the resin, she is able to create her unique works of art, each piece alive with movement and depth, always a talking piece. After 13 years in Singapore and seeing many blank walls, Skevi felt inspired to produce colourful pieces. “There are so many white walls and empty spaces All too often today people decorate their rooms with a single colour. Every room needs a little extra colour to break the monotone. Let the vibrancy transform your space and lift your spirit.” Skevi continues to support fundraising efforts and charities. In the past her work has raised money for a variety of charities such as NHS Charities Together, The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust, the DEC Humanitarian Aid for Ukraine and whilst resident in Singapore, Kick Sarcoma, Kampuchea Balopp, a non-profit organisation in Cambodia and the Nicholson Memorial Fund via the ATLAS Foundation. Skevi relocated to the UK in the summer of 2017. She has successfully exhibited several times in Singapore and the UK. Her artwork decorates homes, offices and hotels in the USA, Canada, Germany, Japan, Singapore, Australia, France, Latvia and the UK. Skevi is gallery represented and works with interior designers and art consultants to create bespoke pieces of art for their clients.
