Neither background nor foreground; the elements of the composition – abstract shapes sometimes resembling floral or organic forms – are connected, they float in space, establish relationships between them – nothing is isolated. Parity of pictorial planes, parity of pictorial elements, controlled gestures versus random gestures, so many visible traces of a confrontation between the conscious and the unconscious. When I start a painting I have no idea what will come of it - my work is the result of acting, reacting and reacting to reaction. Spontaneous declarations, snapshots. I try to evoke a visual poetry, wanting to invite the spectator to enter my world, a world without a central point, sometimes light as a feather, then voluminous like a piece of lead; be seduced by my language, my colors.
