Painted from a photograph I took one summer's day, while out walking on the Croome Park estate, Worcestershire. The clouds were billowing across the sky, and the grass thigh-high. On closer inspection, the brown field wasn't ploughed earth, but the stalky remnants of a broad bean crop.
