Crossing Over Painting

I was in Toronto after art opening in Yorkville area leaving to catch the subway and it was raining. I loved the way the street looked that night and took the source picture and several others. This is one of 3 from that series. As I painted it I did not stick directly to the colours in the source photo and the way I draw shapes were transforming things on the canvas. The pink at the bottom I painted then added the shapes and stopped at that point and later notice that where I stopped and left the pink shows a face in reclining pose. When I finished the painting the thought came to me was delicious from the colours in it! I hope the viewers will feel a sense of a place and perhaps the slickness of a rainy night and that life is energy and changing every second.
