Crozon Autumn #2 Painting

Inspired to paint this after a visit to the Peninsula of Crozon, known for its natural beauty and rich geological diversity evident in the colours of the cliffs and rock formations. It is in one of my favourite regions of France, Bretagne, which has the most magnificent coastal scenery. This was a walk along a winding clifftop pathway on a cloudy autumn day where the sky and sea were melting into each other on the horizon creating a silvery light. The steep cliffs covered with heather while the precariously placed maritime pines appearing as if they may dive off into the ocean. Painted in acrylic on stretched linen canvas, ready to hang with loops and string attached. The sides of the canvas are also painted. Will be sent with a certificate of authenticity.
