Ready to hang horizontally or vertically.

This is a deconstructed painting of the Rocky Mountains. The colors evoke a sense of snow, ice and clear glacial waters while the layers of line and shape bring a sense of movement.

I was born and raised in Calgary, Canada. Immediately after graduating from high school I began exploring the world around me and moved to Banff, Canada. My time there is forever imprinted upon me, and the beauty of the place is still an inspiration to me and my art, although not expressed in a literal way. I then spent time traveling and exploring other parts of the world including Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Fiji, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras and Guatemala before attending University to study painting. More recently, I spent 4 years living abroad in Abu Dhabi, UAE and now I reside in Houston, Texas. Each place that I have been, life experiences, feelings, and memories are expressed in my work in a non-representational way. I attempt to capture the the overall experience and energy of a place or memory with color and form on the canvas. This expression can be interpreted by the viewer to reflect their own experiences and memories. I am deeply interested in the unseen internal world and how it can be expressed visually, much like the late artist Agnes Martin. She expresses this in this quote, "My paintings are not about what is seen. They are about what is known forever in the mind." Agnes Martin
