Art Description

Painting: Watercolor, Acrylic, Ink, Metal on Paper.

This is another painting in my series on writing. As computers are taking over in schools, young people are no longer learning to write. I always liked writing words. And all my paintings have brush movement. I start with watercolor and a Chinese calligraphy brush and quickly write made up letters. I love the movement of the brush strokes. The thick and thin. I always use a red, yellow and blue and mix them together to get a blue grey color. I use china ink in a squeezy bottle to write the dark strokes that you see, and then to pick up the paining I used silver leaf and I decided it still needed more so I used gold leaf.
