About The Artwork

In this series, instead of conventional brushes, I use my fingers which allow me to feel the texture of the paint and surface tension in order to produce a sense of motion through swirling patterns on the canvas. The visual appeal of radar imagery illustrates the beauty in destruction. Cyclone Idai struck Mozambique on March 14, 2019 with heavy rains and 127 mph wind, causing flash floods and massive destruction of property and crops. In the Southern Hemisphere, Idai ranks as the second deadliest tropical cyclone on record with more than 1300 lives lost to the storm.
