This painting is about inner Spring after grieving a person or a relationship. The lady and the flowers all are dancing in the wind of change and life. In the experience of grieving comes a time when you come back to life, you find joy and peace, you integrate your loss in your heart and it gives you even more power to fully live your life like never before... and it feels like Spring inside you. This painting aims to give hope to the ones going though sorrows. It expresses freedom and serenity. The shape of the body of the woman is inspired by Magritte's work. I observed the reflexion of my own body in the window of my living room over night. The water represents energies cleaning our soul, the green lands the parts of us coming back to life with tenderness, and the flowers dancing in the wind and laying on the heart, people or situations we have lost. The reflexion on water invites the viewer to view his experience from a different perspective, and see the beauty of floating fragments of his life in this psyché and heart. For this piece I used thin layers of oil painting (glazing) for the reflexion on water, and thicker layers on top for the floating flowers. Pinks and greens represent love and tenderness, while purple represent motherhood and spirituality. My mother died in a mountain accident, the mountain in the background is dedicated to her and her passion for mountains. I often feel her in the wind. It also represents wisdom and our higher self, stable and forever in peace.
