ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Where I paint has a big effect on my work. This was painted in a small storage room near my LA apartment in Venice. I enjoyed the way the light was coming into this little room and how I could focus on one painting at a time. On a walk one morning with my dog, he sat to take a break in a pile of dandelions and while I stood there looking at them I was reminded of my great grandmother (Super Yaya) who came to the US from Greece and used to pick dandelions with other ladies in a field and make tea with them. That inspired this piece :)
