''Darkness of muted desires'' Painting

''Darkness of muted desires'' is part of the Resurrection of love collection, created in Berlin, Germany 2021. It speaks about the desires that burn inside our chests, the ones we know we need to ignite into existence and yet they stay muted in the dark every so often. This painting is a testament to scream them out into the world so we may become wildfires of dreams of come true. I chose the black and whites reflecting the strong masculine and feminine forces in my life, the contrast and polarity found depth finally held and evoked. The deep browns and whites speak of the longing for balance, for harmony and the subtle in-betweens. Natures ground, her soil serving as shelter, holding us in our transformations and changes. The gold finishes reflect the light at the end of a rough sail, hope reborn as the love once more resurrects to shine again. I love working with raw cotton canvas, the natural feel to it creates symphony in my process of creation.
