ABOUT THE ARTWORK
''Darkness of muted desires'' is part of the Resurrection of love collection, created in Berlin, Germany 2021. It speaks about the desires that burn inside our chests, the ones we know we need to ignite into existence and yet they stay muted in the dark every so often. This painting is a testament to scream them out into the world so we may become wildfires of dreams of come true. I chose the black and whites reflecting the strong masculine and feminine forces in my life, the contrast and polarity found depth finally held and evoked. The deep browns and whites speak of the longing for balance, for harmony and the subtle in-betweens. Natures ground, her soil serving as shelter, holding us in our transformations and changes. The gold finishes reflect the light at the end of a rough sail, hope reborn as the love once more resurrects to shine again. I love working with raw cotton canvas, the natural feel to it creates symphony in my process of creation.

Ann-Christin Kurtze was born in Berlin in 1996, where she rebelliously discovered her artistic nature and devoted her life early on the the exploration of invigorating expression. Finishing her Bachelor of Arts as a Professional Modern Dancer, she went on to discover the world. First drawn to the contrast of Israeli culture, she accepted several art collaborations and projects, then went on to solo perform and exhibit in trendy galleries of Tel Aviv. After a life rocking spiritual awakening, she devoted her time to the extensive studies of Sexual Shamanism and Tantra whilst she started to weave spiritual insights into her performances, art and movement workshops. Traveling the Middle East, Asia and India learning from incredible teachers and mentors, she began teaching the Tantric Temple Arts, became certified with the Source School of Tantra and founded her own business ''Wild & Tender'' in NYC, bridging ancient wisdom with expressive art. In devotion to the continuous study of consciousness and sensuality, she translates longings of her inner Muse into paintings, writings and teachings.
