ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This piece comes from a series of work that plays with the interaction of visual languages. In this painting 'dead beneath the coconut palms...' I was interested in the relationship between the graphic line and loose gesture, and the boundary between abstraction and figuration. The title is taken from the poem 'Coconut' by Fredrick Seidel. -Hanging hardware included. -Painted on 10oz cotton duck with quality acrylics.
