Deep Blue Sea Painting

I was born in Istanbul, Turkey and raised in New York City. Art feels very natural to me, similar to eating and breathing, it is vital part of my livelyhood. I have been drawing since I was 6 years old, and throughout the years I have have focused intensively on design, photography, martial arts, sports, psychology and wellness. I began painting in 2016, and since then I have learned so much about myself, life and the power of creative flow states. I am in the zone when I paint, truly present in every moment, it is my favorite form of meditation. Painting helped me find my inner peace and allowed me to overcome chronic depression and anxiety. My paintings depict the pattern of all life interconnecting the universe as one organism. The viewers typically see animals, coral reefs, nature and other figures in my paintings. Most of the paintings can be rotated and displayed in any orientation and transform into a new painting with newfound lifeforms within. Gazing at the paintings is just as therapeutic as creating them, relieving stress and anxiety. In the current world where anxiety disorders and depression are at an all-time high, my mission and purpose as an artist is to connect with people and help them find clarity again through art, mindfulness and nature.
