Del Titnu Painting

The central character in this piece is sampled from social media, the yellow stencil is one of my mothers wedding gifts, a tablecloth the painting itself is atop residential building waste, a kitchen cupboard door headed for landfill. my goal is to subvert the cycle of consumerism by making something consumable, from waste. Art is something other than merely homewares with a shelf life, or in this case a kitchen door life, of what’s fashionable this season. this a door-able work 'Del Titnu' a play on ‘UNTITLED’ backwards what is title, what is it to be without it... how does the antithesis of acting with entitlement present
