In this acrylic abstract paintingI explore the symbiotic relationship between artistic expression and the intricate realms of psychoanalysis. The canvas becomes an instrument, harmonizing with my reasoning and theoretical research, transcending the boundaries of traditional artistic representation. This artistic endeavor serves as an archeological exploration of mental processes, unveiling the enigmatic landscapes of the mind. The chosen small formats accentuate the intimate portrayal of the fickle and abrupt functioning of the defragmented psyche. Each stroke and color choice act as a visual representation of the intricate interplay between conscious and unconscious thoughts. Mandala cutouts and circles, meticulously intertwined with the invasion of spermatozoa, serve as spontaneous and natural manifestations of the mind's dynamic nature. The canvas becomes a reflective surface, mirroring the ephemerality of thoughts and the constant flux of emotions. The intentional use of small formats allows for a concentrated examination of these psychological fragments, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the intricacies of the inner world. "Desfragmentar" invites contemplation, encouraging viewers to embark on their own journey of self-discovery and introspection. It is a testament to the power of art as a conduit for exploring the depths of the human psyche, where spontaneity and nature converge to create a visual symphony of the mind.

Vera Fonseka is an artist based in Portugal whose paintings have been widely exhibited nationally. She describes her works as conveying the paradoxical existence between the scrupulous intricacy of the details and the brutality of iconography. Fonseka's artistic process is marked by her use of mixed techniques with adhesives, fabrics, acrylics, and oils on canvas. She was born in 1982 in Tallinn (ex URSS, actually Estonia) in an actors-family. In 2003 Vera moved to Portugal where she's been living since then. Inspired by Kandinsky, Frank Stella, Beatriz Milhazes and Alexandra Mir, Vera Fonseka tries to make conceptual contribution in Contemporary Art. Artist Statement: « Inspired by the disorder of the present time. »
