About The Artwork

Radha is the goddess in Hindu mythology and is also known by the names Radhika and Radha Rani. She was one whom Lord Krishna loved from the core of his heart but yet the two did not marry. Their bond had an eminent level of love which is exemplary even today. While the two met and fell in love but could not be united, this painting shows the moment when Radha and Krishna met for the last time. It is said that feet of Radha has 19 opulence and they are called the Lotus feet. It is also said that those who take shelter of lotus feet are saved from the torments of life and benefit their generations as well. They were adored even by the Lord himself.
