We face human alienation. Educational training and profesional system prepare us to think as machines do and make us perform like they do.

Jobs are so automatized and specialized that individuals acomplish such an specific tasks that they are no longer aware of their input into the society. In other words: the workers don’t know anymore whats the purpose of their works and that make them feel useless.

As a consecuence, we get opressed by a “racionalized” system which focus on numbers rather than on people. Capitalism means: economical values are more relevant than human values.

Politicians and goverments manipulate thoughts, history and values conveyed to the population by handeling them in order to avoid absolute CHAOS and promote “the Blessed progress”. Just like parents guide their grown-up children as if they weren't free and self-sufficients enough to make their own choices.

In that context, the “COVID-19” outbreak, helped this reality to become more obvious and noticeable.
As a result, self-isolated people with the unique company of themselves. get into an unstable emotional state of mind when they realized how manipulated they really are. Mora than ever probably.

Because people didn’t wish the current situation. They just want to keep living in their confort zone being amused by screens and leisure activities. Due to work and outter and permanent imposed social relation, taking place throught social media, people have stopped to listen to themselves.

With the self-isolatation, people have turned into human beings once again and their inner dialogue have prompted again. The main reason why this perturbated “way of living” spreads everywhere is our frenetic, breakless and endless living pace. In which deleting one’s browser’s history is more relevant than repairing a carburator from our cars.

These artworks are intended to show that “emotional limbo” in where every human being try to reconnect and to listen to themselves. But unfortunately they can’t sort their problems out. The mentioned inner dialogue is explained much better, just with a sentence, in the tittle of a Milan Kundera’s book: “The Unbearable Lightness of Being”. It shows perfectly what exactly take place when individuals found themselves during the isolation.

All this pandemonium is somehow related (I am still looking for “the connections”) to the extremely interesting feature of human beings: “its contradictory existence”.

Human beings can be as pathetic as extraordinary. To go a step further, the pathetism and the greatness can be hold and shown by one individual in two different moments. The individual can hold and show a pathetic and a great character even in the same moment.

The best word to describe the image is “Ambiguity”. The purpose is to express two opposite poles. It leads us to the confussion of not being able to realize if the person is extremely happy or completely depressed.

To make it clear: we know that his/her emotion is intense (Which is what we need in the current society: To think less, to feel more intense). But its hard to figure out wether its happiness or gloom.

You know for sure that the two possible emotions shown are very far away from each other as they stand at opposite poles. And it remains clear that their emotion is not an “aphatic feelingless state”.

It may consistt of negativity and pain as a result of having been looking for their abandoned beings inner truth or orgasmic sexual exctasy on the contrary.

I feel really seduced by the possibility of being in front of an image and not know wether its about one thing or its quite the opposite, wether it’s pain or confortable happiness. And that’s one of the most fascinating human beings’ feature

First contact was with Spray cans in my hometown, along with other artists from the province. Seduced by cultural diversity, I began to study Architecture in Catalonia. I focused on drawing as an expression tool. I enjoyed the possibilities and opportunities that take place in big european cities like Barcelona. Interested in traveling and to know new cultures, I have tried to learn constantly from others traditions and cultures so different that we can find both within Europe and in the rest of the world. "Art must be a guarantee of people's health." Art is considered a tool for change: to correct the alienation that people today suffer from the capitalist market. Because of the frenetic and dizzying rhythm of contemporary society.
