“Die Happy” is in reference to the idea that we are always presenting a facade just to make others feel ok. We would rathe tell people the good instead of the bad. I choose yellow because it typically represents happiness, something a lot of us project just to pass by. I put x’s in the eyes to represent that there is more deeper issues going on below the surface. I wish we could tell people the truth when asked how we are doing, instead of “ I am well/ I am great/ I am fine”.
