ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Composition of 'Die Sonne' is inspired by Marc Chagall's paintings. It depicts a tender love scene between Sonne/Sun in golden robe caressing a naked women. The couple is resting on the grass alongside the river, with boats in the background. Naked reclining body is delicately painted onto white foundation whilst the golden robe of 'die Sonne' is heavy, rich and textured with use of impasto.

I am an artist who loves to work in seclusion and if I could I would communicate only with images I create. I illustrate my feelings and impressions, working mostly with various techniques on paper ranging from small formats such as below presented book to oversized, carpet-like paper formats. I do like to work in series and use multiplications but the final creation is always unique because I do believe in intuitive hands-on creation when the materials and their properties influence the way we interpret our artistic visions. I am graduate of the Academy of Arts in Torun, Poland, I am painter, illustrator and art conservator. My studio is based in East London.
