ABOUT THE ARTWORK
"Different", oil on linen, 75 x 85 cm I was presenting my home country Ukraine at Florence Biennale with this oil painting "Different". The main subject is poppy flowers with one of them being blue. The blue poppy flower sits on the foreground but starts to dissolve in the grass as the voice of other red flowers are stronger than his own. The painting is very colorful and pastous. It speaks about identity and individuality in our society, and how it can be sometimes challenging to be different from others. The painting is ready to be hung on the wall.
