DigiLand Painting

On a canvas painted with silver and gold gesso, I applied plaster and once it was dry, I painted each "pixel" with richly colored pure pigment in blues and greens creating a digital landscape. To be certain the highly textured grid was secure and would not peel or damage, I poured clear acrylic sealer over the entire surface. From a distance, the large painting resembles a digital image of a meadow with blue sky and green grass. This series is a stylized departure from anything I have painted in the past. After successfully marketing my artwork to the interior design and hospitality trades for over ten years, I feel a fresh personal connection to this new "digi series" and hope collectors find as much inspiration and delight in these pieces, as I have. At some point, one of the DigiLand pieces reminded me of "Lite Brite" from my childhood. I have several more pieces in the series that I hope to post soon.
