About The Artwork
This piece was inspired by my visit to Medinet Jumeirah, a popular dining with its traditional & charming arabic architecture & located close to Burj Al Arab. I have tried to capture its ambience by night with the various nationalities enjoying varied cuisines under the date palm trees &the play of light & shadows .This work is done in pen & ink, markers , oils & oil pastels. I have tried to keep colours to a bare minimum & the accent is on black & white.

I am an architect/ artist. residing in bahrain since the last 15 years.I use a lot of sketch pens & pencil / watercolours for my architectural renderings . This reflects in some of my art works also. Being an architect, heritage has always been of interest to me & more often than not it figures in my artworks also . However I also love painting landscapes also. I am a fan of the way the impressionists used colours. I am currently working on series called 'URBAN LANDSCAPES ", inspired by citi life & features a lot of roads & cars. Who says roads & cars can't be beautiful ?
