“Selective” is an exhibition by Syrian visual artist Haitham Al Hamad. Through Al Hamad’s eyes, COVID-19 is selective in how it chooses its victims, feeding off the weaknesses of human immunity. The pandemic has given an opportunity to Al Hamad to explore the process of natural selection. In many ways, the pandemic has had the potential to stop time as we know it and greatly affect our daily routines.
