ABOUT THE ARTWORK
From the series, Power and Connectivity: I am interested in the complexity of electrical and telecommunication infrastructure. There is a good combination of order and chaos. Light and dark make any painting delicious. Here, the cables cast shadow on the pole creating a realism in the cables and a second layer in the shadows. Inadvertently, I photographed a grow-op connection (the descending copper wires) which later cause me and other viewers great hilarity.

I made a decision to leave all doors open, to explore, to experiment, to translate, metamorphose and to dream. In drawing and painting, I analyze the world around me, recording, rescuing fugitive images from obscurity and saving them in some kind of visual imagery - chalk pastels, watercolours, oils, acrylics, plastic archival collage or photos.
