André Prado is a painter and musician born in 1982 in São Paulo, Capital. His relationship with art dates back to his childhood, where he began his first contacts with paints and canvas through his mother. Dedicated to his studies, he graduated in dentistry, and for this reason, he took a hiatus in his career, returning to the arts a few years later. Self-taught and inspired by great artists, he found in abstract expressionism a way to calm his restlessness, expressing different sensations through colors and shapes. Each work is a “declaration” of a particular moment in his life, both in his compositions and in the names each artwork is given. During his artistic career of comings and goings, he also became an appreciator of the New York street art movement of the 1980s, which allowed him to incorporate elements into his expressionism, fusing styles, creating works with strands of modern and contemporary art. He spent six years living in Europe where he improved, having the opportunity to be close to the main centers of the European artistic scene. Main references: Jackson Pollock, Wassily Kandinsky, Willem de Kooning, Jean-Michel Basquiat, JonOne
