Dog at the Beach Painting

This is of my dog Percy, jumping a stream on a beach in Scotland with a stick in his mouth. I like using animals as subject, I think we can relate to them and that their interesting to look at. Percy is a particularly favourite model, although he's a fidget-bum and thinks the attention he gets from being the subject is just another good excuse to play. My "Paint-ograph" is an acrylic painting on a printed photograph. The paper is 350gsm watercolour paper (A3+, 42.9x30.5cm) The image has a wide margin around it. There is nothing on the margin of relevance and you can have it cut to size, if and as you want. initialed and dated on the face, signed in graphite (pencil) on the back. I have been blurring the lines between Photography and other mediums for a long time. The photograph is my starting point, I'm interested in what one can do to it, how can it be transformed and into what? I like to chose "real life" subjects from my photo-diary; friends, places I've been to, things I've seen and done.
