The painting titled "Don’t Panic, It’s Just a Whale on the Street" is a fascinating piece that merges the mundane with the magical in a surreal display of everyday surrealism. At first glance, the painting captivates with its whimsical juxtaposition of a man nonchalantly riding a bicycle beside a massive whale on what appears to be an ordinary city street. This contrast immediately draws the viewer into a world where the impossible coexists with the routine, challenging our perceptions of reality. The artist employs a vibrant palette, with the whale's deep blues and grays starkly contrasting against the urban backdrop, highlighting the creature's out-of-place presence. The attention to detail in the textures—the roughness of the road, the smoothness of the whale's skin—adds depth and realism to this fantastical scenario. Thematically, the painting might be seen as a commentary on the human condition and our relationship with nature. The title, "Don’t Panic, It’s Just a Whale on the Street," suggests a call to maintain composure and adaptability in the face of the unexpected or the seemingly absurd. It could also be read as a metaphor for the environmental challenges we face today, reminding us of the importance of coexisting peacefully with the natural world, no matter how out of place it may seem in our urbanized environments. The composition is balanced and thoughtful, with the man and the whale serving as focal points that guide the viewer's eye through the scene. This balance between the elements of reality and fantasy is handled with care, making the painting not just a visual spectacle but also a thought-provoking piece that invites reflection. Overall, "Don’t Panic, It’s Just a Whale on the Street" is a masterful blend of surrealism and realism, executed with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of color and composition. It's a painting that stays with you, prompting questions about our world and our place within it.

I was born on December 15th, 1976 in Kaunas, Lithuania. After one year we’ve moved to capital city of Lithuania – Vilnius. Here I started my school, where was I was attending progressive art classes. From the early days I was involved in the art world - my father is a photographer and mother was an architect. Our house was always full of people from the art world. I got to know them personally and grew up surrounded by them. In highschool I was attending music school, where I played the cello. This is still a frequent image in my paintings. I love the cello. I’ve started to paint in 1990, but it was just the silence before the storm before the storm. My personal awakening occurred in February of 2003 in NYC, and I called that POFICK. Finally my art was given form and meaning. I imagined that if Fluxus exists, Pofick could exist as well, and not only in paintings, but in other forms of art and as a unique view of the world and a type of lifestyle.
