About The Artwork
This late 2016 illustration references how I feel every time i have to speak about my work in public. The composition features a pelican, rendered in pinks, yellows, reds and oranges, with a lovely leaky ink wash. A marching band is emerging from her throat and marching down the length of her beak. She wears a tall blue hat with a red feather atop her little pink head. This artwork was created using neocolor crayons, watercolor paints and acrylic inks over an initial ballpoint pen drawing in black ink. The paper I use is hot press, white, 100% cotton rag, acid free and expected to last an extraordinarily long time.
