About The Artwork
A mandala is an orderly symbol that usually consists of a circle in which there may be a painting or various graphic symbols. The mandala symbolizes the universe, the soul of man. Most mandalas are characterized by one significant center from which emerge forms of enlightenment emerge. Mostly, the mandala represents the visual basis of meditation, here the mandalas I create enter in the big picture. For a long time I experienced great difficulty in meditating, only when I connected to the totality and cosmic intelligence I felt in Mandela, then and only then have I succeeded and still succeed in meditation to this day. Here is one that greatly contributes to my meditations. This Painting was done on oval canvas with a black background, the dots are made of fine acrylic paints. I was born in Paris - France in 1960, when I was 9 years old, my father, who all his life was in the shadow of the Holocaust that took his family from him decided to make Aliya (immigration) to Israel. In retrospect, I realized that my experiences as a child - a new immigrant influenced (among other things) my artworks. My infinite search for the whole within the imperfection, attracted me to a combined art of abstract style, pointillism, dotted mandalas, modern-contemporary art, and my highlight, the art that makes me feel most complete: Aboriginal-inspired art. When I walk into my studio and start a new artwork, I am usually in a meditative state, I am connected to the totality and cosmic wisdom that my color points evoke in me and in most cases I do not know what the end result will be. My dotted art is perfect mostly thanks to its imperfections and I hope my soul, my feelings, my love, my energies break through my art.
