Loubna ALAMI, Self-taught plastic painter, was born in Paris in 1977. Loubna Alami has created an artistic universe that draws the contours of his experience. From beadwork to collage, including relief canvases, her work is dedicated to all women. It all started instinctively from what may be Proust's madeleine of several schoolgirls, now women. The painter Loubna Alami found her first inspiration for his paintings in the "notebook of memories" and drew the outlines of his current working method. In 2003, Loubna Alami opened her insurance firm in Rabat, which she still heads today. But her love for the pictorial art does not leave her. If the “notebook of memories” marked Loubna Alami a lot, she became more interested in painting on canvas after a visit to the Prado Museum in Madrid, in 2009. As an autodidact she really experimented with oil painting. 'oil. Her artistic process has matured over the years, with a search for pieces for assembly on canvas, inspired by body tattoos and henna ornaments thus constituting meaningful female figures. Today Loubna Alami uses a lot of materials, although she mainly relies on oil paintings. By developing this process, she fell in love with mixed media in 2012. This was at the center of his exhibition in Rabat in 2015, at the invitation of the Sofitel Jardin des roses, with works dotted with small Swarovski pearls. Loubna Alami also inlays these shimmering colored jewels on wooden or plastic sculptures, which she likes to fashion with her own hands. Loubna Alami's drawings, fruit of variations of the abstract and the figurative, tell real stories highlighting mainly female figures which she proudly represents, thus telling a part of her life through her works. Thus, in her first exhibition, she transmits "a strong message by talking about the sterile couple", a taboo subject in Morocco, just a few years ago.
