Dreaming of the Sea, captures the beauty and tranquility of the Mediterranean coastline in Corfu, Greece. I used a palette of teal blues and greens with subtle hints of pink, seeking to recreate, from the memories embedded within me, the stunning hues of the ocean and its surrounding flora. Using a layering technique, I created a textured canvas that invites the viewer to immerse themselves in the peaceful atmosphere of the sea. The painting exudes a sense of calm and serenity, as if the viewer is gently floating atop the waves, surrounded by the gentle sway of the sea. The painting has many layers of paint and gorgeous texture. It is gloss coated for beauty and protection. I hope to inspire others to connect with the natural world and to find a sense of inner peace and tranquility.
