My Light. I am a painter and I have been developing fine art photography in my work for the past forty years. My first concern is nature and the light within. The atmosphere generated by light in a forest, by the sea, mountains or, in a garden; whether during the day or at night. The mystery of light! A glance in passing, a glimpse if only fleetingly. The scent of rain or the drama of a storm. The warmth of a summer's day; a spring evening, a shower of hail, snow or a raging sea, mist, fog, frost or just the day! These are my concerns and have been with me since the very first time I can remember - it takes a lifetime to learn but just a moment to make. My observations of nature are reflected in the works I produce. I teach in a school of art and I hope, trust, my journey has had a positive impact; if only small, on those students I have been working with. Thus, this is me and this is my journey which travels with me every day and I am reminded that there can only ever be one truth! Nature holds no lies, no deceit it is a truth and it inspires me to seek that truth in myself and my work. These works are from my Visual Diary - Memories of Past Moments and are part of my creative journey from the early eighties to the present time. Soon to be published
