ABOUT THE ARTWORK
J'explore en ce moment le thème de la vague avec le "pouring", un style de peinture fluide. En créant plusieurs flacons de peintures fluides, et en bougeant la toile de différentes manières, j'arrive à obtenir des effets amusants, et intéressants. Je cherche des harmonies de couleurs gaies, et qui rendent vivante ma peinture. Pour cette oeuvre j'ai osé mettre des couleurs qui pourraient être les reflets d'un coucher de soleil, si on veut raccrocher à quelque chose d'existant. J'étais tombée en arrêt en voyant la vague de Maufras, un peintre de la "bande" de Pont Aven, contemporain de Gauguin, j'étais étonnée par l'originalité du sujet traité par ce peintre à son époque, où le figuratif régnait. Et lorsque j'ai peint cette vague, je m'en suis souvenue pour les couleurs.
