I consider that childhood alone is a kingdom that contains all the keys to understanding the world and what we really are. There is undeniably an indefinable nostalgia, sometimes tinged with melancholy that accompanies the memories of this fundamental and foundational period of our being. Imbued with these thoughts, I began to conceive of this work as a childlike landscape in which pastel tones occupy almost all of the space in a kind of opaque veil. Arches with stronger colors, like doors open to another world, are placed in an anarchic disposition making the scene borrows from a sweet mystery.
