I explore the idea of space in urban and natural landscapes. I do not fundamentally separate the city and nature, but often the city is embodied in linear structures as a man-made structure, like in my Philippine landscapes. In both the city and the natural landscape, I am interested in the light an...

Galina Poloz is a visual artist working primarily in watercolour, exploring atmosphere, memory, light, and the dissolution of architectural and natural forms through fluid layers of pigment and air-filled space. Working mainly with wet-on-wet watercolour on cotton paper, she creates meditative urban and natural environments balancing structure and disappearance. Her practice is focused not on direct representation, but on the fragile space between image and perception — where form becomes reflection, trace, vibration, or memory. Rivers, cities, ruins, roads, gardens, branches, and fragments of architecture often appear in her works as carriers of emotional and temporal experience rather than specific places. Human presence remains indirect, existing as atmosphere, silence, imprint, or echo within space itself. Poloz works intuitively, allowing water, pigment, transparency, and empty space to shape the emotional structure of the image. Her restrained palette and dissolving forms create contemplative environments suspended between presence and disappearance. Galina Poloz graduated with honors from the Chișinău Art College in Moldova and the Estonian State Art Institute in Tallinn. Her works have been exhibited internationally and are held in private collections across Europe, the United Kingdom, North America, and Asia.
