Painting: Oil and Gouache on Paper. aus dem Zyklus "Entropische Welten" from the cycle "Entropic Worlds" Der Begriff Entropie (griechisches Kunstwort: ἐντροπία entropía, aus εν- en- ‚ein-‘, ‚in-‘ und τροπή tropē ‚Wendung‘, ‚Umwandlung‘) hat mehrere Bedeutungen. Im Zyklus "Entropische Welten" greife ich zugleich die Begrifflichkeit aus der Informationstheorie, Mathematik und Physik auf. Ich konzipiere ein Kunstwerk und zerschneide es anschließend anhand eines zufälligen Rasters in einzelne Bestandteile. Das ursprüngliche Kunstwerk zerfällt in kleinere Kunstwerke und jedes durch diesen Prozeß neu gewonnene Bild wird Bestandteil des Zyklus „Entropische Welten“. Diese umgestalteten Bilder liegen einer Zufallsvariablen (Mathematik) zugrunde, leiden unter einem Informationsmangel (Informationstheorie) und folgen dem Prinzip der Umwandlung (Physik). The term entropy (Greek word art: ἐντροπία Entropia, from εν-en-a-'in-' and τροπή trope, turn ',' conversion ') has several meanings. This new designed images based on a random variable (mathematics) suffer from a lack of information (information theory) and follow the principle of converting (Physics).
