Micheal Haran's art is held in many private collections internationally. Micheal specialises in making oil or acrylic paintings on canvas. He creates very vivid artworks in a variety of abstracted landscapes as well as other Abstraction modalities. Micheal Haran studied at The Slade School of Fine Art, UCL. He lives and works in West London..
Micheal is continuously involved in many exhibitions including showing 8x paintings at The Florence Biennale, Italy in October 2023.
In 2026 he has had 2x exhibitions in London, one in Chiswick in March and one inMayfair in August and is now the recipient of a significant Arts Council Award to learn silkscreening and to research and develop Community Art.
Micheal also had a large solo show where he exhibited 50 artworks at 54 The Gallery, Shepherd Market in Mayfair, London in July 2024. He had a solo show in Holland Park in July 2025.
He is planning more exhibitions for 2027.
Micheal is very aesthetically informed by Post-Impressionism, biomorphic sculpture, Dadaism, Surrealism, and Abstract Expressionism. He draws inspiration from many of the Beat movement writers, and a plethora of musical genres. Many of the early Abstract Expressionist artists such as Cy Twombly,Lee Krasner, Helen Frankenthaler, Clyfford Still and Mark Rothko are often referenced in his works and help contribute towards his artistic thinking.
Micheal lived in Iquitos, in the Peruvian Amazon, for two and a half years and conceptually, he is continuously inspired by his deeply transformative experiences with shamanism.This passion has led him to dedicate himself to both producing art and also to raising funds for the protection of the Amazon and other ecological biomes.
