El camino Painting

What/Who inspired the work? My work is inspired by nature in its purest form, especially the landscapes that surround us, the flora and fauna that inhabit them, and the interconnection between all species. I am inspired by both the natural cycles of life and the subtle transformations that occur over time in ecosystems. Additionally, I am influenced by philosophers and artists who explore the relationship between humans and the Earth, such as John Muir or Georgia O’Keeffe, whose works capture the essence of nature in a deep and contemplative way. What do you hope your viewers feel/think? I hope viewers experience a sense of calm and reflection when interacting with my art, inviting them to think about their own connection to nature. I want them to stop, notice the details, and perhaps reconsider their relationship to the environment around them, recognizing both its beauty and its fragility. My intention is to make them feel a deep appreciation for natural elements and, at the same time, to reflect on the responsibility we have in their preservation. Why did you choose the medium, the material, the style? I chose natural media, such as acrylic painting or watercolors, and recycled materials, because I want to highlight the direct connection between the human and the natural. I use these techniques to capture the subtlety of the textures and colors that inspire me, seeking to create an atmosphere that is both realistic and poetic. The style is fluid and organic, because I am interested in conveying the idea that nature itself does not follow strict rules, but is a dynamic and changing force. I want my work to not only look, but to feel like a living part of nature.
